The line offers a wide range of styles which includes ruffled silk chiffon dresses, a boho-chic soft cotton maxi-dress, jersey tees, versatile tunics, bolero jackets, and linen casual suits which all incorporate Siriano’s signature touch. Fierce Mamas for Moody Mamas by Christian Siriano is based on the successful Moody Mamas loungewear collection which Marta and Elise created in 2008. Marta and Elise, who are both in their 20’s, became instant friends and shared the same vision when it came to developing their business plan. Together they set out to find out everything they could about being pregnant. They interviewed moms, moms-to-be, took pregnancy and yoga classes, spoke with pediatricians and anyone and everyone that they could find who was or had been pregnant. They decided that they needed to create a line of clothes that was wearable, functional, and affordable and that would make women feel good about themselves during this arduous time in their lives…and from there, Moody Mamas was born.
During this same time, Siriano accumulated a fan base of his own due to his undeniable talent, personality and becoming, at 22, the youngest winner in Project Runway history.
