Lana Fuchs Couture Spring 2009 Collection at LA Fashion Week

I just got back from LA Fashion Week and remember the Lana Fuchs Couture Spring 2009 Fashion Collection as one of my favorite ones.

Among celebrity guests attending the Lana Fuchs Couture fashion show was Lamar Odom, a professional basketball player who currently starts at power forward for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association.

I loved 3 dresses from the Lana Fuchs Couture fashion show: Chloe which is a sequined mesh and lace once shoulder dress in ivory/gold (#28 in photos). Blaque which is a satin and embellished lace strapless bustier petal dress in black (#45 in photos). And the last dress (#49 in photos), Flora which is a silk chiffon, mesh and organza embellished petal bridal gown. I definitely can see myself wearing Lana Fuchs dresses!

Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian at the Caroline D’Amore Fashion Show

Kim Kardashian and her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, were spotted at LA Fashion Week minutes before the Caroline D’Amore fashion show on Tuesday October 14th.

Kim Kardashian looked beautiful in a fuschia dress and black high heels. Kourtney Kardashian was equally gorgeous in a white button down shirt and a black pencil skirt.

Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashin look just as beautiful in real life! This is what I describe as natural beauty. Note: it was quite a challenge taking Kim Kardashian’s photos, I had to compete with lots of professional and somewhat aggressive paparazzi photographers.

First-ever Men’s Fashion Edition of TIME Style & Design

The Men’s Fall Fashion Issue of TIME Style & Design is on newsstands now. Here’s a look at the new issue:

For the first-ever men’s fashion edition of TIME Style & Design, editor Kate Betts brought together fashion icons Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld. Lagerfeld shot Ford for the cover and, afterwards, the two sat down with Betts for an exclusive conversation:

•Ford tells TIME Style & Design on possibly dressing Barack Obama: “Who would not want to dress Obama? I must say that I think he looks great already-simple, clean, understated and always appropriate.”
•Ford on whom he’d like to dress: “I really have been fortunate enough to dress most of the people in the world that I have wanted to dress. I think that Prince Harry would be great to dress, as he has a great look.”
•Lagerfeld on Ford’s men’s designs: “I suddenly liked the post-Italian updated modern look… For me, American fashion and the look of American elegance with an updated image is Tom.”

Check out the latest style news according to People Style Watch:

Leighton Meester Walks the Runway to Battle Domestic Violence: is doing her part to end domestic violence, taking to the runway today to raise awareness for the issue. “I think it’s an issue that everyone can take part in because it applies to everyone,” the Gossip Girl actress told reporters in N.Y.C’s Union Square. “You can be a victim or someone you love can be a victim. The more people are aware, the more it can be prevented.” Meester said as a woman, she has a special interest in the issue. “No matter who is affected by domestic violence, I take it personally, so I think it’s partly my responsibility to talk about it.”

Joseph Domingo Bares All With “Skin” Spring/Summer 2009 Collection

JOSEPH DOMINGO reveals “SKIN”, a daring and exciting collection for Spring/Summer 2009, at Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week. His show is scheduled to march down the runway at 6PM Tuesday October 14, at Stage One of Smashbox Studios, Culver City, CA.

The show features the San Francisco-based designer’s progressive exploration into the feminine mystique. Often catering to the well-heeled set and glamorous women in rarefied entertainment and fashion circles, Joseph Domingo is set to showcase head-turning pieces that confidently tease between what one shows and what is kept hidden. “It’s not about being overtly sexy but being sensuous,” he points out. “For example, a bare shoulder can often be more alluring than being completely naked. It’s about the promise of possibilities.” The concept hinges on the art of seduction as personified by Joseph’s muse of the moment, the Greek goddess of love herself – Aphrodite – and by women across the ages who knew exactly how much to unveil and how much to hold back.
